Behind her catwalk fame as a seasoned model, Luna Maya is a budding entrepreneur in the beauty industry Born and raised in Bali, Luna’s father is of Javanese descent, and her mother is from Austria. Teenage Luna moved to Jakarta to pursue her modelling and acting career in the early 2000s. Her fame skyrocketed and achieved general viewers when she became a presenter in the TV variety show, Dahsyat. Among her popular movies is Suzzanna: Bernapas Dalam Kubur, where she earned more accolades as Best Actress from Maya Awards and Favourite Actress from the 2019 Indonesian Movie Actors Awards. Besides being active in showbiz, Luna has several business enterprises, such as the Luna Habit fashion line and Macama restaurant. She is also the managing partner of Member.id, a digital marketing platform. In November, her skincare and cosmetic company, Nama Beauty, received US$5 million for seed funding led by AC Ventures.
